DSC launches $409m Village Centre

Dubai Studio City has launched Village Centre, a Dhs1.5bn ($409m) multifunctional entertainment destination for filmmakers and the public. DCS made the announcement at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival in southeastern France. The free zone project, developed in a park-like setting in two million square feet of land at DSC, will include restaurants, festival retailing, cinemas, two outdoor amphitheatres, a 7,500-seater enclosed amphitheatre and two five-star hotels, according to a statement from DSC, a development by Tecom Investments, which is a member of the state-owned Dubai Holding.
