Sony Gulf expects growth in camcorder market

Sony Gulf expects it sales of video cameras in the Mena region to grow 15% this year following the launch of the world's smallest full high-definition camcorder, reported Khaleej Times. Sony Gulf has a 55% market share in the region for camcorders, with turnover rising 17.6% to $200m last year. The company yesterday launched HDR-TG1, the latest generation Handycam and the world's slimmest and lightest camcorder.
