A delegation from Brunei visits the ECSSR

The delegation led by Mr. AK. Haji Sharin Bin Pg. Haji Bakar, Third Secretary in the Embassy of Brunei Darussalam, Mr. Hamzah Suliman, Director of the Institute of Defence and Strategic Studies and Capt. Erwan Haji Ibrahim- Scholarship & Training Officer in the same Institute.

During the visit many issues and subjects were discussed where they were informed about the special field of training of the Center.

In addition to that, the delegation was briefed on the scientific cooperation signed between the ECSSR and other scientific research centers and Universities from around the world.

The delegation had a tour of the different departments of the Center, where they visited the U.A.E Federation Library and the Media Department.

At the Media Department they were introduced to its daily functions, which comprise daily monitoring of local and global events and issuing Akhbar Al-Sa'ah (News of the Hour).

In addition, the ECSSR is going to host an International conference from the 19th to the 20th of May 2008 entitled "Cultural Heritage Influence in the 21st Century", Under the High patronage of Sheikh Hamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chief of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court, organized by the Sorbonne University with cooperation of the Emirates Center for strategic Studies and Research.

30 international researchers, lecturers and specialist in the fields of engineering, construction, road planning and the relationship between architecture and cultural identities in Europe, Middle East and Asia, are participating in this great event.
