Scheduled for completion early 2010, the building, which will benefit from a series of eco-friendly energy conservation features, including a building integrated photovoltaic roof to harness solar energy, will also house a number of serviced offices for third party tenants.
"We have set out to deliver a building which will set the benchmark for architectural excellence and sustainable design within Abu Dhabi and believe this will be the first in a series of industry recognitions the headquarters will achieve,"
said Lee Tabler, CEO, TDIC.
The ADTA/TDIC headquarters will also house the Middle East Council of the Urban Land Institute (ULI), a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to responsible land use, complete with a real estate education centre with a library, seminar and conference rooms.
