Etisalat supports Cityscape Real Estate Awards

Etisalat's support in sponsoring the Cityscape Real Estate Awards was to reward excellence in real estate development and investment in the Middle East region.

An array of VIPs and senior executives from the Middle East real estate industry, attended the gala dinner held at the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi.

The awards recognized and rewarded real estate industry professionals and companies that showed outstanding performance and achievement in key market and project areas, and were judged by a high profile panel of real estate industry experts: Dr Mohammed Dulaimi, BSc CE, MSC CE, PhD Construction Management, MCIOB, The British University in Dubai; Dr Sadek Owaitani, Chairman of the Council, Emirates Green Building Council; and Abdulmajid Abdulrazzaq Al Khaja, CEO Rail Agency, Roads & Transport Authority among others.

The awards scheme has received solid support from the real estate and associated industries, with headline sponsors that include Bose, Etisalat, Gaggenau, RAK Ceramics, Environmental Power Systems, Cool City, Al Wifaq, 2G, DC Pri and Shaker Consultancy.

The awards are also supported by RICS, IRECO and Abu Dhabi's Department of Municipal Affairs and Urban Planning Council.

On behalf of Etisalat, Mr. Essa Ahmed, Senior Manager Planning and Business Development e-Real Estate, presented the 'Mixed Use Development (Built) Award' to Dubai Investment Park, and the 'Mixed Use Development (Future) Award' to Sama Dubai, for the lagoons project, The Awards were judged upon outstanding mixed use developments that showed an innovative approach to the overall strategy of the development.

Developments needed to have strong design qualities, sensitivity to the surrounding environment and urban community as well as to show flair and intelligence, demonstrating the relevance to the present and future needs of the community, environmental responsibility and future sustainability of the projects.
