The award was presented during an event attended by the Board of Directors of Al Mazaya, as well as a number of shareholders, fund managers, investment firms, banks and brokerage firms, investors and media representatives.

Over the past two years, SAHARA Communications has developed a host of highly effective strategies for the promotion of Al Mazaya's various projects and initiatives, resulting in the firm's emergence as one of the key players in the region's real estate market.

One of the most recent and significant collaborations between SAHARA Communications and Al Mazaya is the Al Mazaya Property Index, a formidable regional information resource and the first index of its kind in the region.

Developed as part of SAHARA's initiative for creating effective tools to aid Al Mazaya's delivery of reliable and accurate industry-related information, the Index provides investors and industry professionals with a comprehensive, frequently updated database of invaluable facts and figures, enabling sound and lucrative investment choices.

The success of the index has prompted SAHARA and Al Mazaya to implement and expansion plan for the index, so that it will soon be duplicated in other Arab countries.

In his acceptance of the award on behalf of SAHARA Communications, Dr Ahmed Mufeed Al Samerai, Founder and President of SAHARA Group, said, "This recognition is a feather in the cap for SAHARA, and testament to our dedication to realising our vision and goals, and those of our clients, through sound strategy and innovation. Our alliance with Al Mazaya is a long-term arrangement which has come about as a result of our mutual understanding, and SAHARA's ability and drive to forward both companies' visions and aspirations. This relationship has enabled us to work together effectively toward making Al Mazaya a reliable source of real estate information".

"We congratulate Al Mazaya on the resounding success of its many ambitious projects, and we intend to go to even greater lengths and create even more new tools to boost its media and marketing strategies," Dr Samerai added.

SAHARA Communications, the voice behind more than $150bn's worth of property projects, is the world's largest PR agency within the property sector, offering its quality services to such real estate heavyweights as Nakheel, Tameer Holding, TANMIYAT, SNASCO, the Singapore-based Hayden Properties, Enshaa and many others.

The group's Research and Studies Division signed an agreement with Washington based Zogbi International in 2007, whereby the two parties have since co-operated in the development and implementation of research and market surveys and the compilation of statistics.
