Hafilat wins bus contract

Bus manufacturer Hafilat Industries in Abu Dhabi has won an Dhs30m contract to build and export European-quality buses to Australia. Production will commence this month in Abu Dhabi and take four months to complete before they are exported. Hafilat Director, Obaid Sughair Qubaisi described the deal as 'a major milestone in the bus manufacturing industry of the UAE'. He said it would benefit basic industries in the UAE through the purchase of locally-manufactured glass, aluminium and materials.
