Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saqr Al Qassimi welcomes the launch of Net Tours Ras Al Kahimah

Net Tours Ras Al Khaimah was officially launched during the Arabian Travel Market 2008 in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saqr Al Qassimi of Ras Al Khaimah.

Addressing journalists, media professionals and delegates at the Net Group press conference held during the Arabian Travel Market, Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Ahmed welcomed the launch of Net Tours Ras Al Khaimah and encouraged Net Group to leverage the emirate's unique tourism potential.

'We will extend our support to Net Tours Ras Al Khaimah in promoting the unparalleled tourism attractions of the emirate,' His Highness proclaimed.

Mr. Ali Abu Monassar, Executive Chairman, Net Group acknowledged the support rendered by His Highness, and expressed optimism towards achieving the goal of promoting Ras Al Khaimah as an eco-friendly tourism destination.

Replying to a question on how Ras Al Khaimah would be able to compete with Dubai and Abu Dhabi, Mr Monassar clarified that RAK would complement rather than compete with other emirates.

'To each, its own, and Ras Al Khaimah has many aspects that are interestingly different,' he declared with distinctive confidence. New tourism products and services would be launched to enable international visitors as well as UAE and GCC residents to experience the charming destination.

Ras Al Khaimah, the northern-most of the United Arab Emirates has easy access from Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Oman and Saudi Arabia. Encouraged by the vision of His Highness Sheikh. Saud Bin Saqr Al Qassimi - Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah the emirate is growing increasingly popular. It offers a wealth of leisure, health, adventure and sport tourism options.

New Developments
Presenting the new developments at Net Group, the Executive Chairman spoke of new desert camps to come up in Ras Al Khaimah, in addition to their existing camps in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

Mr.Ali Monassar also announced Net Tours' new business partnership with Network Travel International, Saudi Arabia, having offices in Jeddah and Riyadh. Participating in the launch event, NTI Chairman, Mr Khalid Al Nayal reaffirmed the support of Network Travel International.

Technology
Speaking of technology initiatives, Mr. Ali Monassar mentioned Net Group's agent web booking /on-line reservation system launched during the World Travel Market 2007, London. He appreciated Mr. Faisal Memon, CEO and Group Managing Director, Illusions Online for successfully deploying the real-time on-line booking engine. Net Group is the first Destination Management Company in Dubai to launch the on-line booking system powered by Travellusions - enterprise travel software solutions.

Net Group's most recent technology switchover is the installation of GPS / GPRS fleet-Management Solutions (Vehicle Tracking and Safety service) powered by High-Tech Solutions, an Austrian company that has recently established offices in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

Mr. Markus Hausler, General Manager and owner of High-Tech Solutions and Mr. Amir Kilany, Marketing Director said Net Group was significantly the first in Dubai to install the system in their vehicles operating through Netco.

'The new Fleet-Management & Vehicle Tracking is an innovative and highly efficient system to manage, control and optimize fleets. Studies show that automatic fleet management solutions are the future. Companies which realize this before the others will be ahead,' Mr. Markus remarked.

Netco transport, the logistics arm of the Net Group is a licensed Rent-a-car and bus rental company having a large fleet of luxury coaches, four-wheel drives, saloon cars and luxury cars.
