- PRESS RELEASE
Dubai Export Development Corporation, the Dubai government body charged with promoting exports from the Emirate identified and supported a select group of export professionals to attend a recently concluded training session on export strategies and international marketing in Cairo.
The specialised training course was conducted by the organisation of the International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation, also a member of the Islamic Bank Group Development.
The aim of this session was to improve and reinforce skills and concepts on export and manufacturing amongst professionals from Kuwait, United Arab Emirates and the Syrian Arab Republic.
The course included a number of theoretical issues and practical sessions including a discussion on advantages and threats of globalization, bilateral trade agreements between countries, export & trade policies and payment mechanisms in foreign trade. The course also focussed on marketing functions and its various collaterals to enhance trade opportunities within competitive markets. Other practical aspects such as export strategies were also discussed.
The thought of organising training courses was first initiated at the annual meeting of Export Development Corporations of Arab countries held earlier in the year. This training was initiated following consecutive success of the previous sessions organized by International Trade Finance Corporation.
"The training course not only offered the team an insight into export functions but provided them the right platform, we leveraged, to communicate our intentions on developing enhanced export facilities across the Arab world," said Engineer. Saed Al Awadi, Chief Executive Officer, DEDC.
Engineer. Saed Al Awadi also emphasized that such educational activities are considered important as Dubai Export Development Corporation heavily depends on these for formulating its future plans for developing local export industry.
