- United Arab Emirates: Sunday, May 18 - 2008 at 15:54
- PRESS RELEASE
Emaar Bawadi, the joint venture between Emaar Properties and Bawadi, a member of Tatweer, has unveiled Teema, the first residential community in Asmaran, the 70 million sq ft master-planned project being developed within Bawadi.
• 308 Spanish-styled town houses with community amenities
• Homes of size 1,780 to 2,800 sq ft; handover in 2010
• Sales taking place at Downtown Living Sales Centre
Teema will feature 308 town houses, and will be anchored by a central retail and community centre.
Underlining the commitment of Emaar Bawadi to deliver on its promise of developing world-class communities, the Teema town houses will open for sale on May 20, just seven months into announcing the multi billion joint venture.
Several financial institutions are offering easy home finance options to potential customers, who can visit the Downtown Living Sales Centre on May 20 from 9am to 6pm.
Described as a 'serene haven' distinguished by soothing green landscaping and walkways, and in close access to several community amenities, Teema is the first of several residential projects to be launched within Asmaran.
The Teema homes range in size from 1,780 to 2,800 sq ft in plots of size 2,200 to 5,000 sq ft. Featuring elegant Spanish architectural features, the homes will meet the growing demand for town houses in Dubai.
Mr Arif Mubarak, CEO of Bawadi said: "Teema is the first of the homes to be developed within Asmaran, which will eventually have over 55,000 residents and 19,000 homes.
Teema town houses mark the starting point of community living within Asmaran, and home-owners can look forward to a distinctive lifestyle rich in leisure and entertainment amenities."
Mr Naaman Atallah, CEO of Emaar Bawadi, added: "Teema is located in close proximity to commercial and leisure facilities, and will be an ideal place to live and work.
With Teema, Emaar Bawadi is developing an integrated residential community featuring extensive day-and-night leisure and entertainment facilities. It assures residents the dual benefits of accessing the leisure amenities within Bawadi while living in a quiet and elegantly planned neighbourhood."
Teema homes comprise a mix of two-storey, single family two- and three-bedroom villas. Emaar lends its development expertise to assure world-class standards for the homes, which will be ready for hand over in 2010.
Work will begin shortly and will be undertaken on an accelerated schedule. All homes come with terraces, gardens and master-bedrooms with en suite bathrooms and built-in wardrobes. Terracotta tile roofs, wooden balconies and tasteful arches give a touch of exclusivity to the design.
Set into green landscaping and walkways, Teema will be distinguished by pedestrian areas and master-planned infrastructure to assure a holistic lifestyle.
The walkways dovetail out of all the residential clusters and green networks link the homes to recreational amenities such as swimming pools, parks and children's play areas. Community amenities at Teema include a retail centre, mosque and school.
Teema residents will be part of Asmaran's bustling lifestyle environment defined by a family-oriented theme park with a wide range of attractions; 4 million sq ft of commercial space; a mall with gross leasable area of 3 million sq ft and several retailers; more than 5,300 serviced apartments, and nine world-class hotels with over 5,150 keys.
Interconnectivity among its various components is a highlight of Asmaran, which is located in close proximity to the largest hotel in the world with 6,500-keys.
Emaar has an extensive portfolio of global landmarks such as Burj Dubai, the world's tallest building, and The Dubai Mall, one of the world's largest shopping and entertainment destinations.
Emaar's property roster includes the established Arabian Ranches, Emirates Living and Dubai Marina communities, and the flagship Downtown Burj Dubai, described as the 'new centre of Dubai.'
Bawadi is envisaged as the largest hospitality, leisure and retail destination in the world set on a 10 kilometre boulevard which will add 51 hotels and more than 60,000 rooms to Dubai.
