Her Highness Sheikha Manal Bint Mohammed launches Art Exchange Programme

Wife of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Presidential Affairs, Her Highness Sheikha Manal Bint Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Women's Establishment (DWE), launched the unique 'Art Exchange Programme' to enhance the creative landscape in the UAE and build stronger ties between women artists in the MENA region and the rest of the world.
The Art Exchange Programme will provide Emirati girl students with an opportunity to absorb diverse nuances of art at renowned international art festivals. The program will be organised through strategic partnerships with globally renowned art and academic institutions.
Her Highness Sheikha Manal said: "The Art Exchange Programme comes as part of DWE's efforts to support the overall development of women in the UAE and hone their creative talents on par with the best in the world. I strongly believe the Emirati woman has a unique role in shaping the region's cultural landscape and is well-equipped to spread knowledge and understanding of the Arab world and its rich culture through the medium.
"Through their artistic creativity and imagination, they will be able to promote cross-cultural dialogue between discerning audiences, epitomising the talent and diligence that is characteristic of this region."
Her Highness Sheikha Manal is an accomplished artist and one of the foremost patrons of arts in the UAE. She holds a Master's degree in Marketing and Bachelors in Fine Arts and is an active ambassador of the charity initiative Dubai Cares. She has also contributed to the Signature Art Auction by donating one of her works to raise funds. As a patron of the arts, she launched the Young Artists Award, "New Signature", which provides a recognition platform to emerging artists. She is also the Royal Patron of the Masters Art Extravaganza, a museum-caliber art exhibition.
