DTCM apprises Brunei officials of Dubai chrisma and sustainable tourism

Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing team including Shaikha Ebrahim AlMutawa, Deputy Director, Business Development and Mr. Abdulla Salem Suwaidan, Deputy Director Missions, Department of Tourism and Commerce Market welcoming the senior government officials of Negara Brunei Darussalam, apprised them of the massive development projects being carried out in Dubai at present.

The officials with diverse backgrounds in defense, security, finance, education and health development, and the affiliated industries visited Dubai recently and showed keen interest in economic growth of the Emirate and the transformation of Dubai from a local shopping place to a prominent business and leisure destination of the world.

The visitors exchanged views and asked questions about the charisma of Dubai to transform from a small trading place into an regional and then international hub for business and tourism and most importantly getting recognition across the world in such a shortest possible time.

They were also presented a memento to mark their visit to Dubai and DTCM by the DTCM officials during the meeting.

They are also apprised of the DTCM strategy to enhance the contribution of tourism to the GDP and achieving the ambitious target of 10 million tourists by 2010 and 15 million by 2015.
