Nibras El Fadel named CEO of Alcazar Capital Limited

Agility has named Nibras El Fadel as the CEO of its Private Equity activity -Alcazar Capital Limited.
The Alcazar Capital funds invest primarily in businesses related to infrastructure, telecoms, media, education, healthcare and alternative energy across the target markets.
Last November, Alcazar Capital teamed up with France Telecom to win a bid to acquire 51% of Telecom Kenya.
This was the company's second deal in the sector after investing in Korek Telecom, which operates mobile phone services in Iraq's Kurdistan region.
El Fadel was the founder and Executive Chairman of NeF Consulting, a Paris based consulting practice, which advised at the board level of major European corporations for their business development plans in emerging markets.
Last month Alcazar Capital Limited formed a partnership with NeF Consulting and El Fadel was appointed CEO and board member of Alcazar Capital Limited.
With over 25 years of experience in the various advisory and operational roles in Europe, the United States and the Middle East, El Fadel will lead the growth of Alcazar Capital.

Before founding NeF Consulting, El Fadel started an international fund for social and economic development of MENA (Middle East North Africa).
He built his early career in the telecommunications and finance sectors, first at Accenture in Paris, France, as a Director of the Communication Industry Group.
Later, he served as Managing Director for Western Europe, North Africa and Latin America at Kingston-SCL, which became part of Convergys, a leading international firm that provides IT services and solutions to telecom operators worldwide.
Commenting on his new role, El Fadel highlighted: "Doing business in today's emerging markets presents unique challenges but at the same time provides exceptional opportunities. I am looking forward to leveraging Agility's resources and network in these regions to develop Alcazar Capital as one of the major Private Equity operations not just in the Middle East but also worldwide".
A respected member of the business community, Nibras serves on a number of global forums, business councils and advisory boards.
He holds a master's degree in technology and policy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a master's degree in engineering from Ecole Polytechnique, Paris, and a graduate degree in public administration from Ecole Nationale d'Administration, Paris.
