Electro Med launches 2nd Ras Al Khaimah Real Estate & Investment Show
- United Arab Emirates: Monday, May 19 - 2008 at 16:01
- PRESS RELEASE
Electro Med, a leading exhibition and events management company, has today (Monday, May 19, 2008) launched the 2nd Ras Al Khaimah Real Estate and Investment Show (RAK REIS), during a press conference held at the Hilton Hotel in Ras Al Khaimah.
"Ras Al Khaimah has emerged as one of the most lucrative real estate markets in the Middle East," said Dr. Abed Al Rahman Al Shaib al Naqbi, General Manager, RAK Chamber of Commerce and Industry, who spoke during the conference.
"Investors from around the world are beginning to take notice of this emirate, especially since the regulations on land and property ownership have been eased, coupled with the recent launch of mega-tourism residential, commercial and infrastructure projects."
Many ongoing RAK tourism projects will be showcased at the exhibition, including resorts, theme parks, and five and seven-star hotels; all of which represent nearly Dhs80bn in investments within the next five years.
The event also aims to highlight the emirate's tourism potential - one of the primary catalysts to the emirate's ongoing real estate boom - as tourist footfall has been expected to grow from 500,000 in 2007 to 2.5 million by 2012.
"RAK REIS provides the ideal sales platform that enables investors tap into Ras Al Khaimah's high rental yields, higher liquidity levels in the region, a stable economy, a strong labour pool, and favourable property laws.
We are well on track to exceed the 2,450 visitors who attended last year's event," said Waheed Khaled, Managing Director, Electro Med, who also spoke during the event.
Sponsored by KHOIE, RAK Properties, and Saraya Islands; and co-sponsored by PMDC, Select Property and Hilton Ras Al Khaimah Resort and Spa; RAK REIS will gather personalities from the full cycle of property development, including developers, consultants, agencies, property managers, financiers and even public sector representatives.
Sultan, Property World, City Hotel, Consulting Engineering Group, BAZ, Reach, and all sponsors are some of the many exhibitors confirmed at the event, which is being supported by Al Aqaria News as Media Sponsor; and Reidin.com and Eye of Dubai as Online Information Partners.
Other speakers at the press conference, including Christopher Picken, Vice President of Marketing, Khoei Properties and Rashed Al Khateri, Marketing Manager of RAK Properties, both highlighted the wide array of business prospects for corporate and individual investors as well as foreign direct investments that would be available at the show.
