Delta announces new nonstop flight from Kuwait to Atlanta

Delta Air Lines continues to grow its presence in the Middle East with new nonstop service from Kuwait International Airport to Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.

Delta will operate four weekly services between Kuwait and the United States offering hundreds of onward connecting opportunities offered via Delta's Atlanta hub.*

The Kuwait flight will strengthen Delta's leadership position in the Middle East, complementing existing service from Dubai to Atlanta and new service from Cairo (starting June 5) and Amman (starting June 6) to New York JFK.

The Middle East region is a key component of Delta's accelerated international expansion. Since 2005 Delta has added 58 new international destinations to its network.

'Air traffic to and from the Middle East is growing at an unparalleled pace,' said Jimmy Eichelgruen, Director - Sales for Africa, Middle East and India, Delta Air Lines.

'This flight will serve Kuwait's incredibly strong business links with the U.S. via our hub in Atlanta. From Atlanta, customers have the benefit of Delta's extensive connections domestically and to Latin America and the Caribbean. We're sure the route will prove popular with both business and leisure travelers.'

Delta will serve Kuwait with a Boeing 777-200ER seating up to 268 passengers and featuring Delta's refurbished business and economy class service. Customers traveling on Delta's award-winning BusinessElite service enjoy all-leather sleeper seats with 60 inches of legroom, innovative food offerings designed by celebrity chef Michelle Bernstein, on-demand personal in-seat entertainment, as well as upgraded pillow, duvet cover and amenity kit. Economy class customers also enjoy all-leather economy seats, on-demand video, amenity kits and enhanced food offerings.

Additionally, on flights to and from Kuwait, Dubai, Cairo and Amman, Delta's award-winning service also features Arabic-speaking flight attendants, in-flight movies with Arabic subtitles, as well as Halal meal options.
