Dubai Chamber honoured for its MRM award project

A Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry initiative, the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum (MRM) Business Award, won the Best Administrative Project award at the Dubai Government Excellence Programme awards 2008 held at Madinat Arena in Madinat Jumeirah Resort.
Said HE Eng Hamad Mubarak Buamim, Director General of Dubai Chamber, "Last year, Dubai Chamber's Dubai Trade Point won the Distinguished Management Initiative Category at the awards. This time it's another of our important initiatives, the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum (MRM) Business Award that has bagged the Best Administrative Project award. The MRM awards selection is based on Business High Performance Model developed by Dubai Chamber and covers issues related to the management and performance of the firms and complements the Dubai Strategic Plan 2015".
Launched in 2005, the MRM award's main aim under His Highness's vision is to develop business sectors and enhance their social responsibility and competitiveness in enabling the private sector to cope with this vision.
The prestigious award, over the years, has been expanding its scope by adding on new categories in line with Dubai Chamber's latest strategy of becoming the best chamber in the world alongside its mission of supporting the business community with all possible means to grow and compete globally and to provide the best possible motivation and encouragement to improve its performance.
Added Buamim, "Receiving of this Dubai Government Excellence Programme award provides further impetus to our resolve to do better and to come up with new initiatives that will help us serve the business community better in the future. After all, Dubai Chamber is a service provider and it becomes obligatory on our part to do our best and to come up with projects that will ultimately serve the overall mission of the emirate to become the 'No 1 city not only in the region but in the world'".
One of the staff members of Dubai Chamber, Aisha Ahmed Aljalboot who works as administration assistant for Members Services Section at the Commercial Department was also honoured along with the 27 unsung employees including nine females for their devotion to work beyond their call of duty.
