'In the Middle East and Africa, the commercial display market continues to evolve, with increased needs for advanced functionality and connectivity in a reasonably priced package,' said Mr. K. W. Kim, President and CEO of LG Electronics Middle East and Africa Regional Company.
'The addition of our latest series allows LG to offer superior image quality and improved compatibility, without compromising on reliability in a wider range of commercial applications.'
As per the first quarter results announced last month, Digital Display Company sales jumped 32.1% to $3.808bn powered by rise in sales of flat TVs and monitors; LCD TVs 82%, Plasma TVs 18% and monitors 30% from a year earlier. PDP module sales grew 17% on year thanks to the company's demand in plasma TVs and 32 inch line-ups to the company and other vendors. Operating profit successfully recovered to $1m.
'The LCD monitors sector is undergoing constant development and demand is increasing especially on big size commercial products,' Kim added. 'We at LG are keen to address the market demand by creating and designing this new line of products that suits their intricate needs. Now, our customers have a wider range of LCD commercial monitors to select from depending on their needs and its usage.'
This series joins the complete portfolio of high-end monitors series, providing an affordable complement for display and presentation opportunities requiring accurate and precise image reproduction. Already, several major companies in the Middle East have expressed interest in this line of products while others have placed orders.
A number of models were released at the press conference all with different features and functions.
