Rezidor announces Cairo's first Radisson SAS Hotel

Situated just two kilometres from Cairo International Airport in the affluent and cultural Heliopolis district, the new property, owned by Afak for Touristic Investment Company, will boast 367 beautifully appointed rooms, 60 luxurious suites, an all-day dining restaurant, a lobby bar, the signature Italian restaurant FILINI, a conference room and five meeting spaces, a 400 m² health club, swimming pool and bar, exclusive executive and crew lounges, as well as 100 parking spaces for guests.

The Radisson SAS Hotel, Cairo is the latest property to be announced from The Rezidor Hotel Group as it pursues its strategy of opening 20,000 new rooms in total by 2009.

The Brussels-based group currently has four properties operating in the country, which will rise to six by the end of the year. The Cairo property opening, and another Radisson SAS in Egypt's second largest city, Alexandria, will swell the group's room stock to nearly 2,000 rooms by the end of 2008.
