Acer partners with Optimiza to drive growth in Saudi market

Acer Computer, the world's third largest PC vendor, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's leading notebook provider, has signed a partnership agreement with Optimiza, one of Saudi Arabia's leading management consulting and technology services and solutions providers.

The agreement empowers Optimiza to distribute Acer's commercial range of products including servers, desktops, notebooks and projectors within the Kingdom, and provide after sales service.

"Acer is a key player in the Kingdom's IT industry," said Eng. Waheed Al Jalaly, MBA, General Manager Optimiza. "We are proud to be associated with a world leader and Optimiza intends to further increase Acer's market share, by working with Acer to address the needs of this growing market segment."

Acer has embarked on an aggressive channel and marketing strategy with an aim to capture a significant portion of the Kingdom's fast growing IT market. Optimiza will help the Acer brand significantly increase its presence in the Saudi market, according to Saudi based Acer executives.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is the regions largest market, and Acer is the market leader for notebooks with a market share of 25.7%, according to independent research group, IDC.
