By end phase one in 2010, 700,000 tonnes of aluminium will be produced annually using Emirati-developed technology.
The first concrete at the pot room was initiated by EMAL Vice Chairman/ DUBAL CEO, Abdulla Kalban and EMAL Board member/Mubadala COO, Waleed Al Mokarrab Al Muhairi.

Board members of Emirates Aluminium (EMAL) were on-site at Taweelah, Abu Dhabi as the concrete work started on the critical part of the production facility, the so called 'pot room'.
