Island Gift to the Earth
The UAE island of Qarnein has been made a Gift to the Earth by the WorldWide Fund for Nature. It's the first ever site in the Arabian Gulf to become a Marine Protected Area. The WWF hopes to raise further goverment and corporate support for environmental concerns in the region.
