MEFX to host key financial industry leaders

Dubai International Financial Centre and Dubai World Trade Centre will bring together some of the key banking and finance decision makers at MEFX to share experiences and identify best practice through the launch of the MEFX Host Program.

This program will host the most important and influential professionals in the finance and banking industry from the 1 June.

These delegates will arrive from Bahrain, KSA, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and the UAE, with the leading GCC banks invited including Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, Arab Bank, Bank Dhofar, BankMuscat, Bank of Kuwait & Middle East, Emirates Bank NBD, National Bank of Bahrain, Noor Islamic Bank, Qatar Islamic Bank, Riyadh Bank, SAMBA, and Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency.

As part of the Host Program, MEFX will be attended by industry leaders such as Basil Abdel-Nabi, Global Head - IT, Arab Bank, Mark Hirst, Head of Private Wealth Management Middle East and Africa, Deutsche Bank (Geneva), Julian Ashall, Chief Operating Officer Middle East for Lloyds TSB, and Satish Janardanan, Head of Information Technology, Saudi British Bank.

The Host program is sponsored by EastNets, a company engaged in the provision of payment and security solutions primarily for the financial, corporate and government sectors with a strategic presence in 120 countries.

Hosted delegates will participate in a business matchmaking program, with dedicated meetings between leading finance decision makers and global financial technology giants.

In addition, MEFX Host offers all hosted delegates access to the MEFX Diwan Lounge, sponsored by Emcredit.

The MEFX Diwan Lounge is a customized environment for hosted delegates to engage in business meetings with exhibitors and network with colleagues in a relaxing atmosphere.

All MEFX Host invitees will also have complimentary admission to the MEFX Summit, a specialised knowledge exchange held on the first two days of MEFX 2008.

Themed 'Future Proofing your Bank', the MEFX Summit will feature an array of industry thinkers and leaders discussing a variety of topics including bank mergers, Islamic banking, technology and human resources and regulation.
