Gulf Bank sponsors international opportunity for Kuwaiti youth

Gulf Bank has once again demonstrated its dedication in bringing out the best in Kuwait's future generation through its active sponsorship of a team from Injaz Kuwait to the 11th International Enterprising Forum (FIE) in Cordoba, Argentina, where they were given the chance to meet students from all over the world to discuss entrepreneurial issues.

The 5-day event - entitled Junior Achievement Cordoba -hosted more than 600 people between the ages of 16 and 23 with the objective of developing enterprising flair and attitude among the youth attending and encouraging them to strengthen their values during the event.

"Once again, we are proud to become the sole sponsors of the Injaz Kuwait team and help them bring out the best of their talent while also allowing them the opportunity to show the creative excellence of their business thinking,"

said Surour Alsamerai, Gulf Bank's General Manager, Human Resources.

Gulf Bank is the exclusive sponsor for the FIE 2008 Injaz Kuwait team, the latest in a series of sponsorship support the Bank gives to Injaz and the work it does to encourage young entrepreneurial talent and volunteers across Kuwait.

"As a bank we are fully committed to supporting the development of Kuwait's youth as part of our ongoing comprehensive program of support to communities across the country," concluded Alsamerai.

Gulf Bank has also sponsored Injaz's regional competition that took place earlier in Oman.

The Bank's commitment to young Kuwaitis is shown through its work as a major supporter of the National Union of Kuwaiti Students (NUKS), its offering of summer internship programs and through its Freedom account and Red Programme that are specially tailored for school and university students, respectively.

The Bank's major commitment to the development of Kuwaiti human resources has also been recognised by its success in winning first place in the prestigious Localization Award from the GCC Council of Ministers of Labour and Social Affairs for three years in a row.
