  • PRESS RELEASE

Visa International, the leading payment service, has become the preferred online payment partner for ameinfo.com, the Middle East's premier online business resource.

The move follows an agreement between the two companies to mutually maximise their brand and network strengths by providing regional marketing; and e-commerce opportunities and initiatives.

As part of the agreement a hyperlink from ameinfo.com will now direct visitors to the Visa website at www.visa.com

"As a strictly B2B site, ameinfo.com takes the Visa brand into an influential marketplace, with a viewership of around 500,000 top managerial executives every month," said Visa's Iain Jamieson, Head of New Technologies for the Middle East Region. "Visa continues to be 'The World's Best Way to Pay' for consumers, businesses and government agencies. We play a pivotal role in advancing new payment products and technologies to benefit our 21,000 financial institutions; and offer their cardholders value and convenience. Visa's strategic relationship with AMEInfo, produces technological enhancements and benefits on all sides; and further expands two prominent brands within the marketplace."

"By working together with Visa, we are helping to increase consumer confidence in online purchases," said Klaus Lovgreen, Managing Director, AMEInfo. "We also intend to involve Visa in our future e-commerce or m-commerce projects."
