Dubai Chamber assures all help to business groups

HE Hisham Abdullah Al Shirawi, 2nd Vice Chairman of Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry, chaired a meeting of heads of Dubai Chamber-affiliated business groups.
Coming as part of Dubai Chamber's strategy to reach out to the business community, the meeting had heads of the representative committees of Lawyers and Legal Consultants, Land Transport Business, Insurance, Foodstuffs Trading, Exhibition and Convention Organisers, Auditors, Building Materials Trading, Supply Chain and Logistics, Printing and Publishing, Textile Traders, Pharmaceutical and Health Equipment Trading and Travel and Tour Agents groups attending and putting across the challenges their particular groups faced.
During the meeting Al Shirawi spoke in length about the cordial relationship the Chamber and the private sector developed and are enjoying over the years.
"The idea behind establishing the various business groups that we represent is to facilitate their functioning and to develop an overall healthy and progressive business atmosphere. We play a major role in bridging the gap between the Government and the private sector that makes a significant
contribution in the economic growth of the emirate.
"It's our utmost priority to look into issues and challenges that businesses face and to overcome all the serious obstacles by being the voice of the business community while dealing with the Government. Besides facilitating all business endevours we are also very keen in providing the opportunities of meeting and benefiting from overseas businessmen who visit Dubai so very often," added Al Shirawi.
He also emphasized that the Chamber conducts regular surveys and studies of the various economic sectors that the businessmen belong to and that these researches wouldn't be complete without the feedback, help and support of the business community whose input is very essential and cannot go unappreciated.
As the meeting offered an open forum for the group representatives to voice their concerns and challenges that they faced in the usual operation of their businesses, Al Shirawi pointed out to the gathering about the existence of the technical committee initiated by Dubai Chamber that looks into the new economic and trading laws and regulations concerning the establishment of companies.
On his part the second vice-chairman assured the attendees that the Dubai Chamber will be considering each and every problems the groups were facing and after a thorough study will take up the issues with the concerned Government authorities.
Responding to the groups request to get more companies and members to their fold and the Dubai Chamber to extend all help to solve their problems, Al Shirawi pointed out that it was the different groups' responsibility to attract more establishments by offering attractive incentives and services.
The director general of Dubai Chamber urged the group leaders to attend the various meetings held in the Chamber premises in honour of the visiting trade missions and to benefit and be in touch with their overseas counterparts.
