Middle East residents investing more in home appliances
- United Arab Emirates: Thursday, May 22 - 2008 at 15:39
- PRESS RELEASE
Consumers in the Middle East are increasingly demanding high-quality home appliances to meet their desire for innovative, user-friendly, and stylish products and are willing to pay for them, according to a local industry source.
"In the UAE, consumers are smart and brand savvy. If they don't know the brand and are unable to associate it with reliability, long-term savings, style, or dependability, then they won't buy it," said Ajai Kumar Dayal, General Manager - Retail and Marketing, Easa Saleh Al Gurg Group (ESAG).
Better Life, part of the ESAG Group, is the distributor for Siemens, Electrolux, Fisher and Paykel, Zanussi, Terim, Siemens Gigaset, ALNO kitchens, Ufesa, Vestfrost, Wolf Power and Forbes, and will be one of the key exhibitors taking part in next week's Hometech 2008 exhibition in Dubai.
"We have built our portfolio of brands around regional consumer preferences. If they weren't demanding the best, then we wouldn't be able to sell them in such great quantities with increasing growth percentages each year," added Ajai Kumar Dayal.
Better Life has experienced consistent year-on-year growth since its inception in 2003.
Now with five stores across the UAE and Oman, Better Life's unique concept of providing consumers with a specialised retail experience has become a preferred choice for those shopping for the finer things in life.
Hometech 2008 provides buyers and sellers with an opportunity to see the latest products from the world's leading brands and a strategic platform to conduct direct business.
Hometech showcases the latest home appliances, entertainment, and automation, electrical, and white goods from leading manufacturers, distributors, and international suppliers.
Better Life products will be on show at Hometech 2008 and sales advisors will be available throughout the event to provide a detailed overview of Better Life's brands and services.
