The invitation is open to all individuals, companies and institutions to submit their creative works, said Nashwa Al Ruwini, Director of the Festival.
The contest aims to attract the best poster which reflects the objectives of the Festival.
"We are seeking a design that will express the vision of Middle East International Film Festival - in terms of mission and motto, especially after the success of the Festival in its first, inaugural year," said Al Ruwini.
The winning poster will be considered the official poster for the Festival and would be circulated internationally.
An exhibition will be organised to display the works of all participants in the contest.
The winning poster will be used for the Festival in its second year, which is organised by the Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage (ADACH) and is scheduled to take place from 10th till 19th October 2008 in the UAE capital.
The contest will be under the supervision of "Shawati" (shores) magazine.
