Emirates honor Oman Air engineering

Emirates Airline & Oman Air Engineering Senior Management have celebrated the completion of one year of cooperation between both airlines.
The event was held at the Golden Tulip Hotel Muscat.
On this occasion, Airport Services Manager of Emirates in Muscat International Airport Mr. Saiyed Abbas commented saying that Emirates is one of the fastest growing airlines in the world, and we have just commenced our 100th destination Cape Town in South Africa. Our aircrafts have to be outfitted at all times to move, valuing Oman Air's Engineering & Maintenance Division support to achieve this goal. Emirates Area Manager in Oman Mr. Mansoor Mushabech further stated that Emirates are leaders in the market, hence provide quality services to our customers, also always ahead in innovation.
Commenting on the occurrence, Engineer Ali Redha Mohammed Al Lawatiya, Senior Manger Third Party and Technical support notified that Emirates airline had assigned in 2007 a team of quality and safety specialists, to undertake a comprehensive audit for all technical and administrative norms practiced within the engineering and maintenance division, and the possibility of providing technical services for Emirates airline in accordance with international standards, and evidently the Engineering division completed the audits successfully.
He highlighted that since the Engineering Division is in fact authoritatively acknowledged by the civil aviation in UAE, it was approved as of February 20, 2007 to provide engineering and maintenance services for Emirates A330's transiting in Muscat International Airport, taking into consideration that the engineering division was providing basic technical support for Emirates airline since the commencement of the airlines' scheduled flights to Muscat International Airport.
Engineer Ali Redha added, "Our high standard and competent services have increased our third party handling business Customers. We currently provide Technical Ground Handling to 30 Airline customers and other ad-hoc operators transiting via Muscat International Airport, and Aircraft certification services to 15 customer airlines.
In addition, the company is in the process of entering into agreements with other airlines to provide them with maintenance support." Engineer Ali Redha concluded saying that Oman Air's Engineering & Maintenance Division is proud to be associated with Emirates in this regard and now we are extending our certification service to Emirates A340 aircraft type.
At the end Mr. Mansoor Mushabech, Area Manager Emirates in Oman presented certificate of Appreciation to Mr. Al Lawatiya in presence of Saiyed Abbas, Airport Services Manager of Emirates, Mr. Sadiq Mohammed Hassan, Business Development Manager of Oman Air Engineering & Maintenance Division, along with the team of Oman Air engineers.
