On the sideline of its participation, Al-Sorayai Trading Industrial Group has announced deployment of Oracle software in all its offices all over the world at a cost of over SR 3 million. Oracle is considered as the world's most powerful database application software in project planning and execution as well as in communication. Oracle solutions are used by largest international organizations.
'Deployment of Oracle software comes to cater to the urgent need for effective communication tools among our network of employees all over the world as well as to accommodate the recent growth in production capacity, opening new markets and the latest developments in corporate practices of our group which was established since more than 5 decades,' Mr. Saleh Al-Sorayai, Managing Director and CEO of Al-Sorayai Group, said.
'We are seeking leadership in adopting the latest technological innovations in our corporate practices with the aim to improve the communication efficiency among our employees all over the world,' he added.
DOMOTEX Middle East is the only dedicated floor covering and carpet exhibition in the Middle East and North Africa region. It is an ideal platform for gaining a foothold in this lucrative market and reconfirming a company's position in the Middle East.
'We are delighted at the considerable interest in our products, especially on the part of companies and big offices working in areas of commercial and residential interiors,' said Mr. Saleh Al-Sorayai, Managing Director and CEO of Al-Sorayai Group.
'We are also pleased at the torrent of questions from the media, who have expressed admiration at the excellence of our products and seemed curious about the secret behind the remarkable competitive edge we are enjoying in the market, and the global interest displayed in our products wherever we go.'
During the opening day of Dubai DOMOTEX there was much interest on the part of media and merchants in Al Sorayai Group's resounding success at Shanghai DOMOTEX in March, where the Group provided many major campuses in China with its Saudi-made carpets and rugs.
Some of these campuses are represented in main lounges and VIP auditoriums in the stadiums hosting the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, as well as in international airports and luxurious distinguished international hotels receiving global delegations participating in Olympics.
Commenting on the importance of DOMOTEX Middle East 2008 in Dubai, Al Sorayai said, 'The event has become one of the world's leading carpet and rug fairs and is increasingly wooing large numbers of merchants wishing to cement their position in the carpet industry.
'While we are very proud of the huge successes we have achieved so far in the international arena, we are also aware of the immense challenges we face to keep our international and local standing as high as it is now. And in order to retain our preeminence, we have to adhere to professional thinking and continue to adopt the state-of-the-art technology needed to keep up the excellent quality of our products on the one hand, and achieve our aggressive expansion plans on the other.'
Now officially reckoned the world's third largest carpet manufacturer, Al Sorayai Trading & Industrial Group started its factory in 1987 to meet the Saudi market's carpet needs. Accounting now for 51% of Saudi Arabia's total carpet and rug production, the Group's current output is estimated at 120-130 million square metres of carpet, 70 million of which is being marketed locally, with the rest being exported to 75 countries worldwide.
