Avis opened its first operations in the Middle East in the 1960s and expanded into the Gulf region during the 1970s, growing steadily as the area was developing.
Today, the Avis brand operates from 100 locations in ten countries, through a network of wholly owned, subsidiary, joint ventures and licensee agreements in the Middle East.
