The aircraft named after the city of Tafileh, in line with the company's strategic plan of modernizing and enlarging its fleet of aircraft serving the international and regional network, and improving services offered passengers.
A previous aircraft Airbus A321, Al-Ramtha, also joined the fleet last April.
These two aircraft replace two that will be phased out soon after their operating lease terminates.
The Airbus A321 is considered one of the most modern, high-performance and best-serviced aircraft operating on short- and medium-haul routes.
It is distinguished by its operating efficiency.
As such, RJ uses four such aircraft, named Al-Karak, As-Salt, Al-Ramtha and Al-Tafileh, to operate, along with other airliners of the Airbus A320 family, on the company's routes in Europe, the Arab Gulf and the Indian Subcontinent.
This twin-engine aircraft seats 168 passengers: 20 on Crown Class, with 46 inches of seat pitch, and 148 seats on Economy, with 32 inches of seat pitch, providing optimal comfort to passengers.
Moreover, the aircraft is equipped with Audio-Video On Demand (AVOD) systems, available to all passengers, whereby each can choose from a wide selection of programs and watch it on his/her screen.
An Airbus A319 (Al-Mafraq) has been introduced into the RJ fleet on March 13, the first of four in a series of this class aircraft that will be assimilated at the end of this year and the beginning of the next.
The airline designated names of Jordanian cities on the new aircraft that joined the fleet and the ones that will join as a part of its mission of promoting Jordan to the world.
