Supported by Intel Corporation, Architect Khalifa A. A. AlJaziri, Managing Director of e-Home AUTOMATION LLC, has launched the first fully customized smart home concept for the Middle East.

Designed to meet the lifestyle and culture of Gulf Arabs who are looking for technology that allows them to enjoy more time to themselves and their families, 'e-Home CONTROLS' technology was developed in tandem with Intel software engineers both in the Middle East as well as in Europe. An automation system for the home, e-Home CONTROLS was launched in a gala ceremony in Dubai to real estate developers from across the region.

Users of the e-Home CONTROLS smart home system can communicate with their villa through their mobile, pager, email, the Internet or even through voice commands to access a host of services including security features, lighting, heating, entertainment options, and air conditioning. Users can command their smart home system through voice recognition to turn on the surround sound system and home movie theatre, run the hot water in the bath, and even open the gate from the comfort of their arm chairs.

'I've always had two passions in my life. One has been architecture, and the second has been technology. e-Home merges these two together to bring to the Middle East and the UAE another first. e-Home CONTROLS provides us in the Gulf with a smart home solution that on a par with anything from around the world. What we've done at e-Home is to add the finishing touches, the unique features that we need and want in the region. Users will be able to access Islamic features in a fully Arabized interface, and that is truly a first for the Middle East,' said Arch. Khalifa A. A. AlJaziri, Managing Director, e-Home AUTOMATION LLC.

Tailored to be scalable based on the user's needs - e-Home CONTROLS can be deployed in anything from a single villa all the way up to a smart city across whole city blocks - AlJaziri has already been in talks with property developers from Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE.

A project fully supported by Intel, which has leveraged off its four decades of experience in developing cutting edge hardware and software technologies, e-Home CONTROLS is easy to deploy and integrate with other hardware and yet still offers the latest in applications and usage to a region known to embrace IT.

'End users in the Gulf have been asking Intel for some time for a smart home solution that makes technology adapt to their needs, rather than the other way round. Intel has been working with real estate developers as well to maximize the value of their investments; research shows that when end users are offered additional services such as smart home technology based on Intel's Core 2 Duo and Core 2 Quad processors real estate developers see higher demand for their properties. We're proud to foster innovation, and we're even more proud to see that innovation coming from the Gulf and the UAE,'

explained Samir Al-Schamma, Intel general manager for the GCC.

e-Home AUTOMATION LLC and Intel are already working together to target leading Middle East developers to ensure that they have access to the leading technical innovations and know how. 'With almost $2 trillion worth of real estate projects in the GCC alone as of today, the construction boom shows no signs of abating. What real estate developers have lacked is a vision for the development of the future in terms of how people want to live. Intel's work with e-Home AUTOMATION LLC will fill that gap and ensure that Middle East home owners lead the world in terms of technological innovation and a digital lifestyle,' concluded Al-Schamma.
