Etisalat introduces 1 Gigabit Internet Leased Lines in UAE

Etisalat today announced the launch of new High speed Internet Leased Lines ranging from 200 Mbps to 1 Gbps for business users in the UAE giving them the fastest access speeds in the region for critical business applications and real time requirements.
For the enterprise very high speed Internet access means that they will now be able to have faster access to real-time requirements such as ERP modules, CRM, Online Trading/Auctions, Currency Exchanges, Stock Market transactions among many others.
According to Abdulla Hashim, VP, Enterprise Solutions, Etisalat, "For our enterprise customers, high bandwidth usage today has become the norm. We have responded to those needs and we are very pleased to be able to offer them such high speed Internet services. The launch of a 1 Gigabit Internet Leased Line once again reinforces Etisalat's position as the leading telecom innovator in the region."
Earlier, the maximum bandwidth offered by Etisalat over Internet Leased lines to customers was 155Mbps. With this addition ,Etisalat now offers Internet Leased Lines in speeds starting from 256 kbps to 1 Gbps with unlimited usage , fixed monthly charges, unlimited number of users to connect to the Internet, guaranteed upload & download and static public IP addresses.
Several factors have led to an increasing need for high speed Internet access among the business community. These range from the growing trend among businesses to centralize their operations thereby requiring very high speed connectivity at the central location. Convergence of data, voice, video and mobility solutions is fast becoming the norm for data networks which necessitates a need for very high speed Internet connectivity.
The growing importance of e-business has also resulted in an increasing number of enterprises conducting their business activities in the Internet environment. The uptake of e-business has been particularly significant in the business-to-business (B2B) segment. The emergence of e-business means that enterprises are faced with a need for increased Internet bandwidth.
