Valued at approximately $2.75m, the contract will be fulfilled by GTS on a turnkey basis, integrating its control systems skills and expertise, together with its gas turbine package refurbishment capabilities.

Alex Dron, Regional Sales Director, Middle East for GTS, said: "We are delighted to provide a solution to SEWA that will improve the reliability and availability of their generator sets, which is of critical importance since the units provide a black start facility in the event of a main generating grid failure."

Eng. Al Waleed Khalid bin Khadem, Director General of SEWA, said: "Wood Group's long established track record supporting FT4 gas turbines, together with their proven control systems technical excellence, make them our ideal partner for this contract."
