The 2008 show will be inaugurated by Her Highness Sheikha Sheikha Bint Saif, wife of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan patron of the Make A Wish foundation.
"This year we wanted to provide as many activities and support services for children and parents as possible, including a fully equipped baby changing and feeding area with Sudocrem and Finee nappies. Many of the vendors will be offering shopping at discounted rates,"
says Shannon Norris, Events Director for TME, the organisers of the Mother Baby and Child show.
With Channel 4 Radio airing live from the show on Saturday between 2-5pm, there will be many opportunities to win fabulous prizes, including the star prize of two return tickets to New Zealand courtesy of Air New Zealand.
Now in its second year in Abu Dhabi, the Mother Baby and Child Show offers plenty of free advice, free samples as well as the latest in childcare products, goods and services for everyone from parents-to-be through to parents with children up to the age of 12.
Adding to the excitement of the show, the birthday celebrations continue with magicians, clowns and other entertainers. Plenty of play areas will be available and parents can enjoy the daily fashion show from BabyShop. On Friday, children from the Gulf Autism Centre will be modelling children's wear with their own special fashion event.
An impressive 15,000 people visited the show in 2007 and TME are expecting a great turnout again this year. Sponsors of the event include: Air New Zealand, Fine, Milupa, Abu Dhabi Women's Council, Al Jazira Club, National food products Company, National Bank of Abu Dhabi and Fuji Film.
