SKMC announces the temporary closure of Al Rodha PHC Clinic for renovations on the 1st of June, 2008

Sheikh Khalifa Medical City, managed by Cleveland Clinic, would like to announce the temporary closure of the Rodha Primary Healthcare Center at the end of the workday on Saturday, May 31st, 2008.
The renovation project will make the center more comfortable for patients and technologically advanced.
The renovation will be extensive and is expected to take about 6 months.
During this transitional period, patients are encouraged to seek medical care at any of the following alternative centers:
A- Al Khaleej PHC Clinic (for Nationals only)
- Operating hours: from 0800 to 2400
- Contact number is 02-6655101
B- Al Ittihad PHC Clinic (for all patients)
- Operating hours: from 0800 to 2400 including weekends
- Contact number is 02-4455202 // 02-4455201
C. Al Zafaranah PHC Clinic (for all patients)
• Operating hours: from 0800 to 2400 closed on weekends
• Contact number is 02-4445202
The number of Doctors, Nurses and Clerical Staff will be increased than normal in these PHCs to handle the increase in patient visits.
Dr. Reinhold Bernat, PHCs Director, stated that "the renovation project planned for Al Rodha Clinic is part of the overall strategy for improving the whole primary healthcare system we have at SKMC. The clinic currently has 10 examination rooms. After the renovations, it will have 16 examination rooms. The registration and patient waiting areas will be changed and improved. The new information system will be installed in the clinic which will improve the handling of prescriptions. Our goal is to provide a comfortable environment and less congestion for the patients."
Saif Al Qubaisi, Managing Director of SEAH said, "Technology now permits delivery of a wider array of ambulatory or outpatient healthcare services at the local level. The upgrade of the PHC's to an ambulatory setting is in keeping with the overall strategy of SEHA to develop the PHC's delivery model and upgrade services accordingly."
"We have already renovated Al Khaleej, Al Madina and Al Zafaranah PHC Clinics and patients have already begun to witness shorter waiting periods and experience the benefits of having the full range of services such as laboratory, pharmacy, and a radiology department in one location", Dr Bernat added. "Abu Dhabi Health Services Company - SEHA and SKMC are committed to raising the standards of health care services provided at its clinics to levels practiced at Advanced Primary Health Clinics around the world. We thank our patients for their cooperation and patience in our efforts to improve the quality of health care services in Abu Dhabi".
