- PRESS RELEASE
Toshiba Gulf FZE donated Dhs30,000 to Al Noor Training Centre for Children with Special Needs and organized a day of fun and entertainment for the delighted children during their visit to the Centre yesterday.
During the visit they met many of the children and joined them for a special day of entertainment, provided by Toshiba, which included puppet shows, magic displays, clowns, balloon bending and face painting.
Mr Takeshi Kimura, Senior Manager of Toshiba Gulf FZE's Electronic Imaging Division, said, "As reflected in Toshiba's corporate slogan "Committed to people, Committed to future", we strive continuously to develop innovative products that make work more efficient and life easier for our customers. At the same time we believe that it is also important to support the local community through Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives. Al Noor Training Centre has changed the lives of many children through their wonderful work and commitment and we were delighted to see this first-hand on our visit. It was touching to meet the brave young children at the facility who face a struggle every day to perform actions like walking and eating that we take for granted in our everyday life."
Isphana Al-Khatib, Director of Al Noor Training Centre for Children with Special Needs added, "The support of big corporations like Toshiba adds credibility to our cause, and we thank them for their donation. We are also delighted that they took the time to personally visit as it allowed them to interact with our students and directly experience the important work we do here, and also see how much their help can impact the lives of these children."
