- PRESS RELEASE
Swicorp, a Riyadh-headquartered financial services firm with offices spanning the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), was actively recruiting the brightest Saudi graduates at the King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) Career Day, where the firm is a silver sponsor.
"The Career Day is an outstanding initiative," Swicorp's Simon Rowe, Managing Director, said.
"It's a forum where myself and other members of the Swicorp team can offer insight and counsel to students about our industry and job functions. We at Swicorp want to be recognised as an employer of choice for Saudi graduates, and we are proud to be associated with the KFUPM Career Day through our sponsorship."
The Career Day, which is renowned throughout Saudi Arabia and is now in its 25th year, is designed to help students better understand their career options and to meet leading local professionals in various fields.
Several thousand students attend the event to gain career-related information, learn about job market trends and discover ways to become more employable. All eyes are on this year's event with royalty amongst the alumni.
Faheem Aziz, Director - Head of Operations & Strategy, added: "Swicorp's involvement allows us to highlight to the students our Investment Banking Training Program, which is offered exclusively to Saudi graduates. The two year program provides comprehensive training in the world of high finance and allows us as a firm to build a sustainable stream for future growth in Saudi Arabia, our most important market, as well as demonstrating our commitment to the Kingdom's future leaders. The program will allow the trainees to work across the company in all fields and locations, and with offices in Dubai, Tunis, Algiers and Geneva as well as here in KSA the chances for travel are superb."
Also present at the Career Day was Swicorp's Fahad Malaikah, Executive Director, Advisory Services, who said: "Having advised clients on mega real estate and infrastructure projects such as Emaar The Economic City, which are currently transforming the face of KSA, we hope the students think of us in their long term future career aspirations as we offer an avenue for participating in the dynamic and exciting changes sweeping the region."
