Al Qasba, the ultimate entertainment and cultural destination of the region is hosting to Clarisse Meneghetti's "Passion with Flying Colours" art exhibition until tomorrow 31 May 2008.
Splashed with colours and a collection of paintings representing the culturally rich heritage of the UAE, the young artist has captured the very essence of the country with her works.
Emphasizing the values that add to the rich heritage of the country, the paintings vary from proud Bedouins and ferocious falcons to racehorses and languid camels.
Yet in spite of focusing on traditional elements, Meneghetti's paintings surge with a dynamic force that is her signature.
Having lived in Abu Dhabi for the past five years, Meneghetti claims the purity of the sunlight of the country has influenced many of her paintings. Born into an artist's family in Brazille, Meneghetti's talent bloomed early in her life.
She was just 11 years old when she started her first paintings, copying classical artists in a variety of styles from academic to abstract that soon called attention to her natural talent.
Meneghetti has had a series of art exhibitions in the UAE as well as Brazil since 1983.
"Passion with Flying Colours" is just one of the series of art exhibitions that be held at Al Qasba in the months to come. With a full year round calendar of unique events to suit all cultures an age groups, the popular family destination caters to art lovers of all tastes with vibrant and exquisite works by famous artists from around the world as well as providing a platform for budding talent.
