For students who have a real passion for cars, the Student Car Show was like a dream come true.

Organized by the University Social Club in cooperation with UGRU the car show had everything about cars one could think of including lectures on car safety, an emergency rescue demonstration, car simulators, a car accessories bazaar, a used car display and even a car art exhibition.

General Motors had its own dedicated section where it displayed some of its top-of-the range vehicles: A Saab 9-3 Convertible, Chevrolet CSV CR8, Cadillac CTS, Chevrolet Avalanche, Chevrolet Silverado and HUMMER H2, in addition to a Chevrolet Lumina SS that took part in the Castrol Racing Heroes series was also on display.

GMC and Chevrolet dealer in Abu Dhabi, Bin Hamoodah Automotive, also offered a GMC Yukon Denali and a GMC Sierra.

Customized cars stole the spotlight during the show: On display was a supercharged Chevrolet Caprice SS in custom candy green apple Dupont paint with 22" DaVinci Estremo Wheels. Another supercharged superstar was the Chevrolet Tahoe Off-Road SS in a custom two tone paint scheme with a 6" Super Lift Kit, in addition to a custom two tone painted HUMMER H3 with 18 Helo Maxx wheels with Nitto Mud Grappler off road tires and a magnaflow sport dual exhaust system all courtesy of Liberty Motor Sport.

"General Motors has always been up ahead when it comes to Safety and Youth. Participating in a car show like this was a natural choice for us for many reasons, and we enjoyed it! We managed to inject some fun and excitement into an already buzzing campus, feeding the younger generation's passion for cars", said David Venticich, the Marketing Director for General Motors Middle East Operations.

The kiosk also had a special seating area where the visitors could unwind either on the bean bags or get their adrenaline rushing on the two racing stimulators.
