Al Salam Bank-Bahrain establishes Amar Holding Company B.S.C

Mr. Yousif Taqi, the Bank's Board Member & CEO said the company would develop the area's infrastructure, design a sophisticated environmentally friendly investment area and attract strategic investors who would not only set up their businesses there but would also provide their employees with an outstanding environment to work and live within a complete city.

Being the Middle East's prime commercial and banking center, Bahrain has gained a global reputation, thanks to the wise policies of the Government, Taqi said. "The Government encourages private sector initiatives by providing all possible facilities to investors and creates preferred environment attracting investors to set up development projects that contribute to the economic development of the Kingdom," he added.

The Bank has set up Amar Holding Company in partnership with strategic investors.

The Company's Board in their recent meeting, resolved to appoint Mr. Yousif Taqi, as the Chairman of the Company's Board and Dr. Hassan Al-Bastaki as the Company's Chief Executive Officer.

Mr. Taqi said this Company's project joins the Bank's other ambitious developments and investment projects in Bahrain.

Meanwhile, Mr. Taqi said that Dr. Al-Bastaki's competence and proficiency qualified him to be nominated and elected as the company's CEO. His distinct performance during the past period as Executive Vice President at Al Salam Bank-Bahrain B.S.C was a convincing factor for the company's Board to select him to this new prominent post, Taqi added.
