- PRESS RELEASE
Knowledge Horizon Training Institute has announced the intake of a new batch of students studying for the Cambridge Diploma in Management at the Higher Professional Level.
"With a PhD in Finance from the University of Warwick, Dr Al Qatamin has earned a reputation as a business leader and academic with clear strategic vision and future-oriented thinking. The students will benefit tremendously from his input," comments Abeer Al Jasim, Head of Professional Qualifications at the Institute.
A recent study shows that the vast majority of Knowledge Horizon students, in fact 70%, enroll in the program to develop and enhance their management skills. Their reasons for doing so are varied. While some enroll with a view to promotion, others want to improve their current performance and add value to their organization. A further 10% sign up for the course to get the qualification and skills they need to pursue higher studies.
The survey also revealed that a large proportion of the intake are students who have been sponsored by their organizations. This shows the growing importance and enthusiasm for top class professional training that will have a real impact on performance and bottom line.
"The results of the survey are fully in line with global trends in training," comments Dr Al Qatamin. "Today, people expect professional development from their companies, they also seek it for themselves whether as a road to promotion or a change of job, to get professional satisfaction or professional credibility. We're seeing this cut across all sectors from finance to telecom to tourism and every sector in between."
Al Jasim agrees: "In general, at all levels, there's a move to acquiring and upgrading qualifications not just to get promotion or to change jobs but also to get more professional credibility and respect or, in some cases, simply for professional satisfaction. And I'm not just talking about those working in international companies - people working in small local businesses are putting a premium on new knowledge and skills, diplomas and certificates."
Knowledge Horizon is an international knowledge transfer organisation that promotes excellence in all aspects related to the acquisition of knowledge and skills. It works closely with a number of top international and Arab expert centres to offer services that are specialised, customer-focused, skills-based and up-to-date. The institute has a strong belief that learning is a life-long pursuit for organisations wishing to be at the forefront of business success and customer satisfaction.
