H.E. Ahmed Humaid Al Tayer receives Union of Arab Banks Chairman

H.E. Ahmed Humaid Al Tayer, Chairman of Emirates NBD received today, Dr. Fouad Chaker, Chairman of the Union of Arab Banks along with Mr. Wissam Fattouh, Deputy Secretary General, Union of Arab Banks.
The visit came in line with the upcoming International Arab Banking Summit and the visitors discussed with H.E. Al Tayer, the recent updates, developments and significant activities of the summit.
The visitors also discussed the latest developments in the banking and finance industry in the region.
H.E. Al Tayer stressed on the commitment of Emirates NBD to support the various activities and efforts of the Union of Arab Banks and emphasised on the importance of The International Arab Banking Summit in furthering economic prosperity in the country and the region and in the development of the Arab banking and finance industry.
The International Arab Banking Summit will be held in France, Paris on 26 and 27 June 2008 under the Patronage of Mr. Nicolas Sarkozy, President of The French Republic.
The Summit, through its plenary panel discussions, focuses on the latest trends in the banking and finance industry in the world and the Arab region and is considered the ideal platform to exchange ideas and expertise to further economic prosperity and growth in the Arab countries.
