Andrew Fyfe, Virgin Atlantic's Regional Manager, Middle East, said: "I am delighted with the appointment of Dnata Travel in Kuwait. We have long awaited the opportunity to promote our airline in Kuwait and this announcement makes that a reality. Since launching our daily services between the UK and Dubai in March 2006 we have been contacted on a regular basis by organisations in Kuwait wishing to work with us. Following an extensive tender process we felt that Dnata Travel was a good fit for Virgin Atlantic and to be at the forefront of promoting our product within the communities of Kuwait."

Dnata Travel, Kuwait, was founded in 2004 and since that time has become one of the leading IATA travel agencies in the country. Dnata Travel currently employs more than 70 multilingual staff, and is growing its network of offices in Kuwait, which is testament to its level of professionalism and excellence.

AbdulAziz J Burahma, Chairman of Dnata Travel, Kuwait, said: "I have long admired Sir Richard Branson and the range of businesses he has around the world. Being able to represent Virgin Atlantic in Kuwait gives us the opportunity to demonstrate what we can do to make the association with them a success."

Virgin Atlantic launched services between London Heathrow and Dubai in March 2006, offering a daily service from June 2006. Flights are operated by Airbus A340-600 aircraft, which is fitted with airline's award winning Upper Class. The Upper Class offers each passenger a reclining leather seat, a place to sit and eat a proper meal opposite your partner and the longest fully flat bed in the world with a proper mattress for sleeping on.

Since it was founded in 1984, Virgin Atlantic Airways has become Britain's second largest long haul carrier, serving the world's major cities. Now based at London Gatwick, London Heathrow and Manchester airports, Virgin operates 38 aircraft and flies to 30 destinations worldwide.
