CNS posts 40% revenue increase and realigns for further growth

  • United Arab Emirates: Monday, June 02 - 2008 at 12:14
  • PRESS RELEASE

CNS, the United Arab Emirates' (UAE) foremost technology integrator and managed services firm, today revealed its first and second quarter 2008 results on the sidelines of MEFX, the leading banking and finance event being held in Dubai.

First quarter revenue grew by 27% and second quarter revenue grew by 40% over the same periods last year respectively.

Tony Alam, CNS managing director, attributed the strong growth to high demand for technology services in the UAE and to the firm's on-going business realignment process initiated in January.

With a more streamlined client services and sales organization, CNS is set to embark on the next stage of its two year business alignment strategy which aims to strengthen its core business divisions, strengthen its consulting and integration capabilities and grow regionally.

"So far in the second quarter we have witnessed steady business growth across all our revenue channels where storage and server sales lead the way by growing 37.9%," said Tony Alam, CNS managing director. "With the region's economic growth rates holding steady we believe that demand for technology services will continue to grow, especially in the UAE where we have 14% market share, and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, where we are investing more resources to diligently manage our growth strategy there."

CNS' realignment and growth strategy included a new corporate brand and identity aimed at putting more focus on its clients' businesses.

Over the past 6 months, the company has successfully launched its new corporate identity and will finalize its new brand strategy this summer.

Over the next 18 months, CNS will place more focus on growing its market share in the UAE and its business footprint regionally.

'We also saw strong growth from our other core revenue streams where active and passive network business grew by 37.7%, and the remaining 24.4% growth coming from banking, customer services, managed services and software solutions channels," Alam continued. "By streamlining our sales organization and focusing more our clients' long term business objectives, we are readying to embark on a regional expansion plan which will begin to gather strength in the first quarter 2009."

CNS extends services and solutions to various government entities and top banks such as the Dubai Municipality, Dubai Police, Dubai World, du, Dubai Internet City, Mashreqbank, Commercial of Dubai, Dubal, Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA), ADNEC, UAE Armed Forces, Ministry of Finance, Department of Finance, Ministry of Foreign Affair, Etisalat, Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, Road And Transport Authority Dubai (RTA), Emirates Bank International, Dubai Islamic Bank, and Sharjah Islamic Bank.
