Freecom awards PRO TECHnology as 'Best Performing Distributor for High Capacity Mobile Drives'

Christian Dijkhof, Director - International Sales & Sales Development, Freecom Technologies handed the award to Jamal Maraqa, Managing Director, PRO TECHnology, during a ceremony held at the Dubai office of PRO TECHnology, in recognition of the IT solutions provider's outstanding distribution strategies, which contributed to the success of Freecom products in the Middle East.

The company leverages its extensive reach in the Middle East through its regional distribution offices and strong ability to address consumers' requirements by providing greater access to the latest state-of-the-art IT solutions.

As a result, it has been reaping recognitions from global IT brands, including the 'Total Solutions Partner in MENA Region' award recently given by Symantec, a leading global IT security company, in addition to various citations for its achievements as a top channel partner in the region for several companies such as Apple, Nexsan and Netronics.

Freecom has been cultivating its presence in the Middle East and North African market, with aims to further increase its global revenues, which has hit $235m in 2007.

In addition to its outstanding sales performance, the company has also received various awards for some its products, such as the prestigious 'red dot design award' in 2007 for its USB card in credit card format and ToughDrive Pro.

Some of the manufacturer's latest high-technology products include the new Mediaplayer XS, which is a compact device that turns every external USB Hard Drive into a media player, thereby enabling users to play music and view movies and pictures from an external USB Hard Drive without the use of a PC.
