- PRESS RELEASE
Adobe Systems Incorporated, global software leader, has released the immediate availability of Adobe Acrobat Connect Pro, the leading comprehensive Web conferencing and eLearning solution.
"Organisations and educational institutions alike are challenged with reaching highly distributed workforces or student populations, as well as communicating, collaborating, and transferring knowledge at the accelerated pace of today's demands," said Andrew Lindstrom, regional manager for Adobe in Middle East and Africa and the Mediterranean.
"Whether it's meeting with co-workers across departments, or conducting virtual classes across continents, Acrobat Connect Pro can help break through technology barriers by letting virtually anyone participate in effective online communication and knowledge transfer," he added.
Acrobat Connect Pro's new features for Web conferencing includes options for archiving and editing recorded online meetings; new presence capabilities allowing federation with popular instant messaging (IM) clients; and powerful compliance and usage reporting tools.
Additionally, eLearning enhancements include break-out rooms initiating separate conversations online for students in virtual classes; rapid video-based content's authoring; and tools that track and organise online classes.
Users can also easily tailor training sessions or meetings helping capture participants' attention and increase knowledge retention, resulting in an online learning experience remarkably similar to an in-person class.
Deployed using the worldwide used Adobe Flash Player, Acrobat Connect Pro lets virtually anyone instantly connect to an online meeting or classroom using a simple Web address without downloading additional software.
