Consumer confidence rises in UAE

A new survey has found that consumers in the UAE are now more optimistic about the second half of the year than they were a few months ago, despite high inflation and global economic uncertainty, reported Gulf News. Consumer optimism in the country has risen from 78.5 six months ago to 85.4, acording to the MasterCard Worldwide Index of Consumer Confidence for the second half of 2008, which shows that consumer sentiment is 'overall positive and optimistic'.
