Student Charity Group 'A Helping Hand' raises funds for Medecins Sans Frontieres

Emaar Hospitality Group, in association with 'A Helping Hand' from The American School of Dubai, hosted a charity 'Dinner on The Greens' at The Montgomerie, Dubai.

The event, which raised over Dhs225,000 was held in aid of Medecins Sans Frontieres and their relief work in Kenya, Palestine and Myanmar.

'A Helping Hand' is a charity group of students who organise events annually in order to raise funds for the relief organization Medecins Sans Frontieres.

The mission of Medecins Sans Frontieres is to provide assistance to populations in distress, to victims of natural or man-made disasters and to victims of armed conflict regardless of race, religion, creed, or political convictions. Over the past year, Medecins Sans Frontieres has continued to provide crucial assistance to seventy-seven countries worldwide.

Mr Marc Dardenne, CEO, Emaar Hospitality Group said: "We have the opportunity to live a happy and healthy life, but unfortunately, not everyone has that luxury. It was our honour to sponsor this worthwhile cause and to help make a difference in the lives of those in need. We would like to thank everyone who contributed to the success of the event."

'Dinner on the Greens' at The Montgomerie, Dubai was organized by 'A Helping Hand' group and raised funds for the nations of Kenya, Palestine and Myanmar. Eighty-five percent of proceeds raised will go directly to the two nations, and the remaining fifteen percent will go to the general emergency fund of the Medecins Sans Frontieres.
