Al Fahim Group's property initiative supports tourism development in UAE capital

Abu Dhabi based Al Fahim Group celebrates a major construction milestone for its new five-star property, supporting the development of the emirate's hospitality and tourism sector.
Attending the event to lay the ceremonial 'last brick' was Sassan Ghassabeh Director Development, Hospitality Tourism Development and Investment Company (TDIC), Rashid Fahim, Managing Director of the Al Fahim Group and Anthony Liddiard, CEO Rmal Hospitality - the specialist hotel and restaurant division of the Al Fahim Group.
Commenting on the occasion, Rashid Al Fahim said, "Through our alliance with TDIC, the Al Fahim Group is successfully implementing tactical property initiatives to expand Abu Dhabi's hospitality sector, supporting the strategic plans to boost tourism and provide over 25,000 hotel rooms by 2015."
World-class operator Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, which has a proven track record of success and is recognised as one of the leading luxury hotel brands in the region, has been appointed to manage the hotel.
The striking contemporary resort will feature 324 rooms and 45 stylish suites, including two exclusive penthouses, as well as extensively landscaped leisure facilities with a freeform pool, signature spa and world-class portfolio of restaurants featuring some of Rmal Hospitality's leading brands.
"Excellent progress on the hotel has been made through our construction partners' Shapoorji Pallonji, 4D Design and Interior Motives. The ceremony is testament to the success of our expansion plans and is another step forward in the growth of the company's asset portfolio," added Anthony Liddiard, CEO of Rmal Hospitality.
Rmal Hospitality operates an extensive franchise portfolio in the MENA region and represents a collaboration of specially selected brands. The addition of the Abu Dhabi property is the first of several hospitality initiatives in the UAE.
